Ballyliffin is home to Ireland most northerly golf club and a gem of a destination for the visiting golfer. Malin Head is Ireland’s most northerly point, as you travel round the head, the road climbs to a view point and continues on to a 19th century signal tower which marks Banba’s Crown. Greencastle is a commercial fishing post and home to the Lough Foyle Ferry Company, here you can take the Ferry to Magilligan in County Derry. Housed in the old coastguard station beside Greencastle Harbour is the Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium. The museum has a number of exhibits associated with the seafaring traditions, including a variety of sailing boats, 19th century rocket cart and a vast collection of maritime memorabilia.
Moville is an attractive 18th century resort town on the shoreline of Lough Foyle, where the waters of beautiful Bredagh River enter. Along the seafront sweeps Moville Green, a popular promenade with well kept greens and bridle paths featuring playgrounds, walking trails and sweeping views east across Lough Foyle to County Derry. Moville has excellent Kayaking facilities.
